UN elected Iran as a member of its Commission on Criminal Justice despite executions of innocent People including protesters, human rights activists, journalists, etc.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is an elected member of the U.N. Commission on Criminal Justice.
As you can see in the video below only recently Iran executed the wrestling champion Navid Afkari for participating in 2018 protests against the regime.
Iran's prisons are filled with tens of thousands of dissidents, including human rights activists, journalists, artists and innocent protesters. All of them are on death row.
Iran’s regime holds the infamous record of the world’s top executioner per capita. It also ranks first for most number of juvenile executions in the world. Women are also victims of the death penalty in Iran, with dozens of women hanged in public squares every year.
Sadly, the UN is turning a blind eye to Iran’s regime continued practice of cruel and inhuman punishments.
On March 2019 the Islamic Republic of Iran was appointed to the UN Women's rights committee that judges complaints of women's rights violations.
According to UN, the violations that Iran will judge include:
• Stereotypical attitudes towards role of women.
• Violation of women's rights defenders' freedom of expression & assembly • Deaths & torture of women in custody.
• Impunity for violations of human rights of women.
This madness must stop.
Western states must withdraw from the United Nations and expel Iranian diplomats and ambassadors in order to force the Ayatollah regime to stop the oppression of Iran's people.
